Men's Emergency Overnight Shelter

About the Men's Shelter
Mens Shelter - 2006
Here at the Mission our goal is to provide emergency housing, food and clothing to the men of our community as they make an effort to get back on their feet again. The doors of the Mission are opened each evening at 5:30pm. At that time men are given the opportunity to sign up for a bed, enjoy a spirit filled chapel service, partake of a hot, filling meal, enjoy a nice hot shower and exchange their dirty clothing for clean clothing. Currently the Mission is able to provide 60 beds for overnight guests. Each morning we are blessed to be able to provide the men with a breakfast and hot coffee as they prepare to hunt for jobs and permanent housing.

Testimonials

Comments from the guests of the Mission

"Compassion in action and where the word is made real sums up the overall atmoshpere at the Eureka Rescue Mission. From the time we walk through the front door we are helped by the staff and all the program members. By their unending efforts and belief system (christian beliefs). I personally have been helped tremendously by this organization since having a severe heart attack last year. Thank you! Guys and gals, also a special thanks to the chapel providers who find time in their busy schedules to come down and minister and witness every evening. It would be inappropriate not to thank the wonderful Dr. Wendy Ring and her staff at the mobile medical unit for keeping us here alive and healthy." - Jess H.
